How to prepare the cumin water drink.

Ingredients

  1. 1 tablespoon of cumin seeds
  2. 1 glass of water.

Process

  1. Soak one tablespoon of cumin seeds into one glass of water (room temperature) for 6-8 hours at night.
  2. In the morning, heat this water upto lukewarm temperature in saucepan.
  3. Strain the cumin seeds and drink it on an empty stomach.

How to make cumin tea

Ingredients –

  1. 1 cup of water
  2. 1 tablespoon of cumin seeds
  3. 1 teaspoon of grounded turmeric or raw turmeric.
  4. Pinch of black pepper.

Process –

  1. Boil 1 cup of water.
  2. Add cumin seeds and turmeric, allowing it to simmer for 1-2 minutes.
  3. Turn off the heat
  4. Add black pepper.
  5. Please keep it aside to cool down
  6. Strain in a cup and enjoy your cumin tea.

Turmeric tea is also the best option for maintaining healthy body weight.
Note – Avoid cumin seeds if you are on blood-thinning medicine or pregnant.

Side effects of cumin

Cumin is generally considered the safest herb or spice. But still, it has some adverse effects on the human body.

  • Cumin can reduce the testosterone level in men. Large amount of cumin can affect their fertility.
  • Cumin can induce miscarriage. Pregnant women should take care and use cumin with caution within a limit.

  1. Cumin seeds are the dried fruit that comes from a small herbaceous plant of the Apiaceae family.
  2. Cumin seeds look oblong, longitudinally ridged, and yellow-brown in color.
  3. In some cultures, cumin seeds are used for abortion.
  4. Try to buy whole cumin seeds, and for a fresh taste, use mortar and pestle to grind it before using.

Try to include cumin water in your morning ritual every once in a while. Don’t forget to moderate exercise and have a balanced diet for a fit and healthy body.
